HBOT Round Three

Despite the hard-fought loss in the appeal process, my wife returned to Charlotte with Miranda for another 20 sessions of HBOT.  We would have preferred 40, but we were tapped out.  It's not only the expense of the procedure itself, but it requires taking time off work as well as travel to, and lodging in, North Carolina.

But half a round of HBOT is better than no round of HBOT.

By this time Miranda was walking well, albeit awkwardly, but her cognitive deficits remained evident.

We have a puzzle with several pegs on which shapes need be sorted by color and shape.  Miranda was incapable of placing a piece on a peg, much less organizing them by color or shape.  Quite literally, she couldn't or wouldn't put even one single piece on a peg regardless of whether the location was accurate, and one failed attempt led to a dismissal of the game altogether.

Below is a video of her doing the entire puzzle one week into the third round of HBOT.  This video is dark and not terribly exciting to watch but, given the context, it was quite thrilling for her parents and therapists to see.
